Escorting the Yakuza - Review

I really enjoyed this book! I feel like we had a lot more issues to deal with in this one than we did in the first one. I liked how much deeper it felt like the author went with these characters and how their dynamics worked. They had a lot to deal with between Shinji and Angel (her name by the end of the book). From Angel's severe trauma to Shinji's secret, there was a lot going on for the crew. I really liked getting to know more about each of them. We got to love them as individual characters as well as love them together. Even though we joined in on Shinji and Takeshi after they were together, none of that mattered because we got to see glimpses of how they got together. I always love getting a chance to see characters that we have met in the previous books whenever it's a series. Even if it's just short glimpses of them as they interact with each other. With this one that was still the case, even though we didn't really get to see much of Portia. It would have been amazing to see how the two women interacted.

The spice in this was really good. I loved getting to see this dynamic work and play out with these three. I give the spice a 5 out of 5. Overall, I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys crime families, IR and MMF. I liked this book even more than I liked the first one! I hope that we do eventually get the third book. I have loved this world and I really enjoy the Kimura men! Also definitely check your triggers with this one. This book is darker than the first one!
