How to Fail at Avoiding an Alpha Demon - Review

 I had a great time reading this book. Even though things moved a little fast, it didn't feel like things were developing without cause. We had enough time to sit with the developments and move on. This omegaverse read was a little different to what I was used to. With Devin almost giving cinnamon roll vibes instead of alpha vibes. There was a lot more wiggle room in their relationship than I was expecting. I did like the difference sometimes. I enjoyed getting to know this world and the people in it. Even though there was discrimination and all that happening to the demons in this world, it is still fantastical. I loved that there are dynamics in this world along with the different supernatural creatures that we already know and love. The characters were engaging and had a little something that I think a lot of readers would like. Again the side characters were even good! I really hope we get something with Kent! 

The spice in this book was nice. I enjoyed seeing Devin and Shante take the leap with each other. I gave this a 4 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed this book and think that all the monster loving ladies would really enjoy this. I am definitely going to continue this series! I'm hoping to add this author to my must read list! This was spicy!! I love omegaverse books and this one had everything you could ask for, heats, alphas, slick, knotting and more!! Elli is a scarred omega who is looking to find herself again after surviving cancer. She finds a kindred soul in Rhen who is also disfigured. They both are looking to affirm themselves in their roles. Elli is a human and Rhen is from a different planet but still has the ABO dynamic. I really liked how this world has everything set up and I would love to read more from this world.  The spice was amazing.  If course since it's all about heat they are banging all over the place. 5 out of 5 for spice. Overall this was a really good short read. It felt like a great book to pick up after being lost in the world of dark romance. Rhen is protective and caring for Elli. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys omegaverse and alien romance!!

Wild Games - ARC Review

  The book that finally completes the games has arrived!! This one focuses on Jax and Camille as they navigate being mates with trying to capture a dangerous person who is sabotaging the games. This book wraps up everything that was left hanging from the previous books. It's hard to believe that these books almost take place simultaneously. There is so much going on, from the first book with Jamie and Dean to the second book with Wyatt and Naomi to this one with Jax and Camille. Luckily everything gets tied up pretty nicely. If you were rooting for a certain alpha, we definitely see who wins this one finally. I was not surprised by the winner and I was definitely rooting for them! Jax was going through a lot during this book and he kept things tame even though he knew that Camille was his mate. This definitely made me want to give him a good shake.  I will say, that I was very surprised by this book. If you look at my recent reads, you'd think I'm on a binge of this author. It was purely unintentional. Going from Wolf Hotel to this is such a jarring change. Not only because one series is a contemporary romance and the other is a fantasy novel but because there is such a huge drop in the spice level and quality. I was expecting the same thing even though the genres are so different. I had to slog through this book. Romeria was getting on my last nerves for most of this book. Granted she is thrown into a crazy situation (like seriously, what the hell) but I really did have some serious eye rolls happening. I mean seriously, this situation is honestly quite wild.
