Sorrow and Strangers - ARC Review

Whew, this was a lot. Everything started out how you would imagine after losing a character near and dear to not only the FMCs heart but your own. We mourn. Reading through Summer's grief was so emotional. I felt for her. Everyone who we've met up til this point who had any type of feeling for Connor was heavily in mourning. You see the different ways that each of them deal with it. Some of it is heartbreaking while others feel cathartic. A lot of our characters are going through changes in this book. Whether it's physical or emotional. Heck I went through almost every emotion in this book with them. The way things are progressing with the over all plot of finding out what Summer is progresses a little bit the focus is heavily on the emotional connections she has to everyone. We get some reveals but even more questions. While the ending for this one isn't as traumatic, it is still a cliffy and we're ask just hanging on waiting for the next round of pain from these authors.

The spice in this book was very good. The interactions with the different characters in this book were all descriptive, plentiful and good!! I would give this a 4 out of 5 for spice. Overall I enjoyed this installment in the series, even though I wanted to shake Summer more than just a few times. I liked the new characters we meet, as well as the ones we know and love already.  So many questions and so many answers!! You did it again Jeanette and Alexis!! Definitely high on my recommend list for fantasy, dark romance and trauma lovers!!
