Taken by the Horde King - Review
This one was a little meh for me. Mina was making me upset with her. Maybe I'm not as nice as she is. When my friend started moving funny then I was gonna have to leave her alone to sit in her mess. The fact that Mina was determined to see her friend as she was before they ended up with the folks they were with under the mountain was a little upsetting considering that her friend was out here with the enemy. I definitely could understand where Rune was coming from in this one. He was tricked into kinda abandoning his people and then chained and semi tortured for awhile. Then it took him some time to actually warm up to each other. Despite the fact that he made her his queen. I was a little surprised by that. All of the relationship issues that these two had was definitely something that made sense. I liked reading them getting around that and getting together truly by the end. Of course there was some fantastical things in between that. Out of all the couples so far that have manifested powers, for some reason theirs seemed like the biggest ass pull of them all.
The spice was good. I didn't really appreciate it as much as I did in some of the other books. I give the spice a 4 out of 5. Overall, I liked this book but definitely not as much as I liked the other ones that I have read so far. Though it does seem like things are getting closer to coming to a head and soon we are going to get to the final book. I am actually going to take a break from this series and move on to this authors other series for a bit. I would definitely still recommend this series to others. You can't be perfect 6 books in a row so I'm going to not allow this one to take the series down in my eyes. Also this one still wasn't bad it just wasn't as good as the others.
