Vulfu - Review

This book picks up from the beginning again when the girls initially get split up. We get to see what happens to at least three of them from this one characters POV. I liked it but definitely not as much as the first one. I will say that this one was way more emotional than the first one. Stephanie had a lot more trauma to deal with than Kate and watching her have to deal with it in a situation where she can barely speak with the others she meets was interesting. It was a struggle and I really felt for her. Luckily, even with the speech barrier, they were still able to understand her for the most part. I think one thing that is emphasized in this story is that, emotions are something that can be conveyed without words. Someone who is receptive can pick up on something that is going on with others even if they don't speak the same language. This idea is something that really resonates with me and is something that I wish others would be more accepting to. Though there is definitely something that is left open ended for me. I almost wished that we got some type of closure on a few things that happened in the story.

The spice was nice. Stephanie was experiencing a reawakening and Vulfu was there to lead her through it. 4 out of 5 for me. I really liked the rawness of this world. When you strip back a lot of the niceties that we have now then this is the type of world that you would encounter. Though there are so many questions that I would like answers to. What happens to the two characters that we met who were taken? What is the real relation between some of the characters here. Does Lisa, ever try to come back and see if she can find her friends? I wouldn't mind a third book about what Lisa. Hopefully coming back and getting taken by another tribe....not the pale men. Or if it is the pale men then will that wrap up some other things too? Come on Dylan! I need to know!! Even though I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one, I would still recommend it just for the rawness of the characters and the emotions that she and Vulfu go through together. Though she herself is annoying at times.

      In book 2 of the Betrayal series we are back with Scarlett and Axel. We get introduced to the Skull King and get even more info on the relationship between Axel and his parents. The world is almost flipped on its head in this book and it leaves some of the characters in a tail spin. I feel like while some things were fixed in this book, other things left me wanting to shake just about every character in this book. Scarlett, because for all her smarts, she's blind to the one person who is actually up to no good. Then Axel for not attempting to do something with his parentals. Something has to change with that relationship or he needs to make them accept his help in keeping them safe. Heat For Hire- Review

This was spicy!! I love omegaverse books and this one had everything you could ask for, heats, alphas, slick, knotting and more!! Elli is a scarred omega who is looking to find herself again after surviving cancer. She finds a kindred soul in Rhen who is also disfigured. They both are looking to affirm themselves in their roles. Elli is a human and Rhen is from a different planet but still has the ABO dynamic. I really liked how this world has everything set up and I would love to read more from this world.  The spice was amazing.  If course since it's all about heat they are banging all over the place. 5 out of 5 for spice. Overall this was a really good short read. It felt like a great book to pick up after being lost in the world of dark romance. Rhen is protective and caring for Elli. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys omegaverse and alien romance!!

Toxic - Review

Another book that I don't know how to feel about. This is definitely not a slow burn. Its a fast burn with a lot of traumatic moments in between. Definitely think this couple got together based on vibes because after what Tessa went through, I'd be staying away from men. I will say there were some unintentional funny moments. Like one where they were getting it on and Gracin asked for a condom. I was like sir...that ship has sailed many bruises ago. Also the fact that instead of immediately leaving the states before anyone knows anything, Tessa decides to move to LA. I coulda choked her myself! Don't get it twisted yall this is definitely a full on dark romance. Check your triggers because this one was could be a little hard for some folks.  The spice in this was ok. Due to the circumstances it often happened,  I was like meh. But on the other hand ince we passed that part it was good. 3 out of 5 for the spice. Overall this was an ok read.
