Just Drop Out - Review

 As someone who is just now picking up this series and reading it after reading The Butcher of the Bay part 1 & 2.....this was a little confusing. Mainly because, I didn't realize how much Lips depended on and still actively reached out to Matteo. I definitely thought that she was trying to stay far away from him, especially after everything that happened in the aforementioned two books it seemed like she was on her way out from him. It still seems like it but at the same time it's weird. I thought she would want to have a closer relationship with Illi and Odie than what she is apparently clinging to with Matteo. Anyway, I find it interesting that she allows the people here to semi walk all over her. Of course I completely understand that she is essentially trying to turn over a new leaf and be a different person than she was in the Bay. Still doesn't mean it wasn't surprising. I guess here we have to learn the real her, we only met the her that was on the defense in The Butcher of the Bay. I am definitely looking forward to the next book where she will hopefully not be as bullied. I will say, that I am listening to the original version and not the newly edited one. I don't think there is an audible for that one yet. I don't think I saw a big difference in anything when I skimmed. 

The spice in this book is non-existent. So this is getting a 1 out of 5. Understandable given that Lips is still young. Even though that clearly doesn't matter to her classmates, who are out here bouncing around like rabbits. Overall, I enjoyed this book, even though sometimes the bullying got annoying. I don't mind a bully romance but when things start to get out of hand it kinda gets annoying. Maybe it's because I've never dealt with the whole hive mind behavior where people actually just sit around and let people be mean to someone without cause. That's how it felt. Though I can definitely see how things are going to hopefully progress in terms of the why choose part. I'm looking forward to the next book. I think this book would be good for those who don't mind the bullying and who enjoy an FMC who restrains herself from beating these people up even though she definitely could.

      In book 2 of the Betrayal series we are back with Scarlett and Axel. We get introduced to the Skull King and get even more info on the relationship between Axel and his parents. The world is almost flipped on its head in this book and it leaves some of the characters in a tail spin. I feel like while some things were fixed in this book, other things left me wanting to shake just about every character in this book. Scarlett, because for all her smarts, she's blind to the one person who is actually up to no good. Then Axel for not attempting to do something with his parentals. Something has to change with that relationship or he needs to make them accept his help in keeping them safe. It's insane to me that someone as smart as him hasn't come up with a plan to keep his parents safe. Heat For Hire- Review

This was spicy!! I love omegaverse books and this one had everything you could ask for, heats, alphas, slick, knotting and more!! Elli is a scarred omega who is looking to find herself again after surviving cancer. She finds a kindred soul in Rhen who is also disfigured. They both are looking to affirm themselves in their roles. Elli is a human and Rhen is from a different planet but still has the ABO dynamic. I really liked how this world has everything set up and I would love to read more from this world.  The spice was amazing.  If course since it's all about heat they are banging all over the place. 5 out of 5 for spice. Overall this was a really good short read. It felt like a great book to pick up after being lost in the world of dark romance. Rhen is protective and caring for Elli. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys omegaverse and alien romance!!

Impure Intentions - Review

          I have never read a book with a dominant female. I decided to try something different since the premise for this book was very interesting!! However through reading this book I've learned that dominant FMCs are not for me. So let's start with the things I didn't like so we can end on a good note with this review. In books that have a foreign language being a heavy focus in the book, I really encourage authors to have some kind of glossary either at the beginning, end or in the sentenced in question so that those without knowledge of the language can still understand what's being said. That didn't happen in this book. So there were entire conversations that I didn't understand. The only alternative would be to stop reading and pull out the handy dandy Google translate.
