A Doctor and a Set

     This book was very meh for me. Maybe it's because it wasn't very long so we didn't get the time with characters I like. I wanted the motivation for the bad guy fleshed out a little more. It seemed pretty basic. Not to mention the fact that there are gods who have come out to people but no one made the connection to this guy's name was kinda weird. That's were definitely some holes but it's a quick read with some spicy scenes. 
     The spicy scenes weren't very hot to me but maybe it's again because I didn't feel a connection to the characters like I normally enjoy. I'd give it a 2 out of 5. Overall it was also a 2 out of 5 for me.  I just didn't connect with the characters not did I connect too much with the story. Everything was just over too quickly and glossed. I wouldn't recommend to anyone looking for a little depth. It's good of you just need something quick and don't plan on getting connected much.

Yall, I try not to be long winded when I do my reviews because I don't want to spoil you. Also I try to be a raving looney toon as well but this series is going to probably have the longest reviews I've written. When I say that I am head over heels for these characters, this world, the story. I truly am. Once again we are back in this world meeting so many new faces and some returning! I was so happy to see that Rogan was back! I knew it would throw an interesting wrench between Kara and Flynn and boy did it!! Rogan was just someone who was there briefly in the Prequel Breeder, but he was important to Kara. End of the Month Wrap Up - February 25

  Another month in the books for 2025!! I wish that I was able to read more books by black authors this month. Unfortunately, I was reading a lot of ARCs this month and getting into March as well. I definitely am going to try to slow down after this batch that I've read so I can dive into some diverse reads. I already have the screen shots of the books I want to read on hand. Hopefully you had a great Black History Month! A reminder to also read diverse every chance you get! Not only during February! With that being said, with this being the shortest month of the year, I only was able to knock out 7 books. I finished one right as the month turned to March. Look for that review in a little bit. End of the Month Wrap Up - January '25

  Here we are at the end of the first month in this new year! I can't believe it's already over! This edition of the Wrap Ups is going to be packed with some information about my bookish life on top of the breakdown for where the books that I was able to read in January fell!  Bookish Life Update- I have managed to put together my second book shelf and it's already almost full. I need to buy another...already. My backlog of special edition books is so large that once I get them all, I know the list will still continue to stay long! I have added another subscription to my line up. Which brings me to a total of 6. One of them I'm thinking about canceling...simply because I haven't really known any of the titles that they have and they don't seem to have many special editions outside of the subscription.
