Exile - ARC Review

 It's hard to remember a series that I have been as invested in as I have with this one. I love this series so much. This entry in the series has begun to clean up lose ends as we head into the big showdown with Mother. Speaking of, we get to learn more and more about her in this book. The journal entries at the beginning of the chapters have given more insight into what happened to her to make her into who she is now. Though there is so much more for us to learn. We also get to see Flynn go through probably some of the worst times he's ever been through. I felt for him throughout and I just can't imagine going through what he does here. Though there is a slight light at the end of the tunnel. Kara, also goes through a lot here even though she's not awake for most of it. Heck all of our characters are facing a lot of hard times and even harder decisions. From Cal, Rogan and Nora to Fitz, Marcos and even Titus. The decisions and things they are going through are poised to either push things in the right direction or could send us spiraling into despair. Everything is beginning to fall into place for me when it comes to the colors of the books and little tiny bread crumbs we've been given from the beginning to now. I'm still waiting on the edge of my seat for this last book! I plan on devouring it as much as I have the rest of this series. Again I really don't have any negatives for this book or series. I wish it was longer. This world has been amazing and I have a soft spot now for all of these characters. I hated reaching the end of this book and wished I could get a little more each time I get to the end.

The spice in this book is minimum. There is so much other stuff going on that it really wasn't going to fit in. So I give this one a 2 out of 5 on the spice scale. Overall, I give this book a 4 out of 5. Though there was one thing that happened that made we want to give it a 5 because FINALLY!! It was so satisfying. I wanted to re-read it again...and again. I was so satisfied with some of the things that happened and concerned and on edge with others. This series has been a joy to read and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants something that they can really sink their teeth in.

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. She just found out that her fiancé cheated on her. Of course she comes from a super religious background meaning that they feel like it's ok for the man to do this while she must remain chaste. I mean all the things that young adults get into are things that she was forbidden to do, whether it was drinking, partying or wearing and talking about certain things. Our girl is oblivious. Beneath Hoof and Hollow - ARC Review

This was a great dark spicy Halloween read!! I really enjoyed this! Em and Fier definitely matched each other's freak. In all forms from the blood and guts to the pumpkin magic cum! Emmeline had to be strong to dry years of teaching to try to not only save herself but also the other women of the village. I can't help but wonder if the men who joined on Itrimorts side thought about the fact that she they killed all the women they wouldn't have any.... apparently not. Even though too many women died before the demon could be killed,  a good prob of them were still able to be saved. I liked the characters in this book, especially sassy Horace! A for spice, you might as well put it in all caps because this book had it in spades. From invisible man sex to pumpkin monster sex. It was packed in these pages. Solid 5 out of 5 on spice. Overall I'd give this book a 4 out of 5. It was enjoyable, freaky and told beautifully. There was no dull moments and everything flow...

The Death King - Review

  Whew, this book has definitely reminded my why I love this authors writing. This book was so so good! I enjoyed stepping into this world of unknowns, dragons and gifted. I will say this is definitely going to be a series that I devour. Be careful of  your triggers with this one because it is definitely a dark fantasy romance. Calista is definitely a fiesta FMC who will fight for what she wants and will take nothing less. She starts out in a pretty terrible situation with no light at the end of the tunnel only to be taken and put into another situation that had the potential to be worse than the previous one that she was in. Then we also have Talon. When we first meet him, he is definitely someone who we are supposed to not like. This is definitely enemy to friends with benefits to enemies and hopefully back to lovers.
