The Ippos King - Review

Out of the trilogy of books, I think this one was probably the weakest. I enjoyed seeing Seravek and Amnhuset get together but the journey there was long!! We took many a detour on our quest to see these two together. From getting chased by residual Galla to getting kidnapped by mercenaries and a jealous king, we were everywhere! These two are definitely not a couple to be messed with. They are both battle hardened warriors who didnt fail to fight off many obstacles in this book. I think the only reason this one felt weak is that there felt like so much more that could have been answered.  Will Megiddo stay imprisoned with the Galla despite haunting the living Wraith Kings? If they do get back together to attempt to free him, what does that mean for the rest of the kingdoms? Can they even become the Kings again? Like I have questions!! They dropped the rarity of children being born to mixed couples and then left my mouth catching flies when that wasn't explored!! I'm definitely picking up the novellas to see if some of this gets answered (I think there are some).

The spice was nice. These two yearned for each other and finally let that yearning cone to fruition. I'd give this a 3 out of 5 on the spice scale. Overall I enjoyed this series and the world that this author created. I'm sad to once again leave it but I can say with certainty if you haven't taken this journey then it is definitely worth the ride!

 The next series that I decided to take on in my re-read sessions was the Wolf Hotel series by KA Tucker. This series was one that I devoured when I originally read it so I wanted to see if it still hit the same as then! This first book definitely has taken advantage of the naive virgin trope and really let it go full tilt. We meet Abbi as she is going through one of the worst moments in her life. The Death King - Review

  Whew, this book has definitely reminded my why I love this authors writing. This book was so so good! I enjoyed stepping into this world of unknowns, dragons and gifted. I will say this is definitely going to be a series that I devour. Be careful of  your triggers with this one because it is definitely a dark fantasy romance. Calista is definitely a fiesta FMC who will fight for what she wants and will take nothing less. She starts out in a pretty terrible situation with no light at the end of the tunnel only to be taken and put into another situation that had the potential to be worse than the previous one that she was in. Then we also have Talon. When we first meet him, he is definitely someone who we are supposed to not like. This is definitely enemy to friends with benefits to enemies and hopefully back to lovers. Beneath Hoof and Hollow - ARC Review

This was a great dark spicy Halloween read!! I really enjoyed this! Em and Fier definitely matched each other's freak. In all forms from the blood and guts to the pumpkin magic cum! Emmeline had to be strong to dry years of teaching to try to not only save herself but also the other women of the village. I can't help but wonder if the men who joined on Itrimorts side thought about the fact that she they killed all the women they wouldn't have any.... apparently not. Even though too many women died before the demon could be killed,  a good prob of them were still able to be saved. I liked the characters in this book, especially sassy Horace! A for spice, you might as well put it in all caps because this book had it in spades. From invisible man sex to pumpkin monster sex. It was packed in these pages. Solid 5 out of 5 on spice. Overall I'd give this book a 4 out of 5. It was enjoyable, freaky and told beautifully. There was no dull moments and everything flow...
