Vicious Society - Review

This was a good conclusion to the story for Xavier and Delilah, although I really want to see if he sticks to his plan and gets married to Delilah. We get to see the conclusion of the trials and these two really accept each other as they navigate through this dangerous world. Delilah did get on my nerves a few times. She was brave at the oddest times. Then again we do see her have this random heart defect that seemed to come out of no where. I was a little surprised when this turn happened. It didn't really add anything to the story other than to show just how ruthless Xavier is when it comes to making sure that Delilah is safe. Also some of the side characters, while good really took a back seat here. Other than her foster brother we don't get to see much of anyone else. I almost forgot about her roommate until we randomly see her again and that's it for her. She was such a driving force in the first one that it was surprising to see her kinda disappear in this one. Then the whole thing with Ben...I just feel like he merely survived due to Xavier helping him. He doesn't really give assassin at this point. I definitely hope that there is more from this series. I would love to explore more of Declan and Ben. Even get more of a conclusion to what happens with Xavier and Delilah in regards to the Order.

The spice in this was nice. It wasn't too much since Delilah was kinda injured for more of the book. I give it a 4 out of 5. Overall, I liked the book but wanted just a little bit more from the ending. I hope that there is more from the other characters in this series. The world was interesting and seeing what could possibly happen through the eyes of the other characters since some of them have now graduated school and have become official members of the Order would definitely be interesting. I would recommend this to anyone who likes dark romance for sure!
