This was a good read. I always enjoy a badass FMC who can kick butt when she needs to. I find this Angel & Demon dynamic to always make for a very interesting read. The characters make this book fun and keep you coming back for more. The intrigue around who was working with Lilith was also something that had me guessing and I liked that it wasn't something that you really knew for sure until the end. I had my thoughts and it turned out to be right but it never really showed itself until the end. Some things I wish was done a little better is the relationship between Nick and Dani.We see Dani flirting with Nick a lot and then we see them getting together and not being able to take their hands off each other but like...I wanted to see them have to spend more time together so we could watch Nick start to turn more towards her. I'm hoping to see more of that in book 2.
The spice in this book was really good. Nick and Dani brought the heat for sure once they finally gave in to each other. I give the spice a 3 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed this book and I can't wait to read the next book in this duology!! The plot is thickening since there are still some unanswered questions with so many things! Did the baby in question really die? Is there a deeper reason for why Nick was so treasured? What is Lilith's full plan!! I need to know more!!
