Find Me - Review
Wow, this book was actually better than I thought. It is heavily plot driven. Even though there is some hot scenes between the characters, nothing actually happens. I'm talking about hitting second base type stuff. However, I really enjoyed this read. It really deeply involves you in the world of the characters. You spend a lot of time getting to know them. Each as individuals as they interact with our FMC. We are also unveiling more about her past as well as theirs. I did find it interesting that we find out that the guys are actually all blood siblings. I was thinking it was going to be something like they were really close and one of them was like an adopted brother type deal. So it really makes the dynamics between the characters very interesting. I would love to see how that develops in the next book. As for our FMC, she is definitely still going through it and you can tell by how she handles herself with the guys and just in general. Also can I just say that throughout this book I really wish that this chick had a POC friend someone where in her new life. Because the way the girls that are bothering her need to be checked is BOTHERING me! Like there is a reason I never continued with my jui jitsu myself because clearly I would not have handled myself well. I need Shi to really beat these girls up at this point. That's the one note I think I left in this book while reading. There are some other things that I wanted to point out but that would be spoilers.
The spice in this book was relatively low. There is an open door petting scene but still it wasn't really much of anything. I will give it a 2 because that did happen and it was described. Overall, I find myself wanting to jump into book 2 right now but I am stopping myself. I need to read some other books before I decide to jump into that one. However, just know that when I finish those books, I will be starting book 2 in this series. I think this book would be great for those who love a slow burn and like to be fully immersed in the lives of the characters that you meet. That's one of the things I liked and it's what has made it hard for me to want to pick up something else. Mini hangover.
