Forged in Blood - Review
This book is going to cause so many people to read one handed. The spice in this book is off the charts!! Now that we've got that out of the way, the story was ok. Alexandros is like a bad parent, he expects his progeny to just do what he says even though it's out of character for him. Of course they're going to question and want to do what he's telling them not to do. Doubly so when no explanation is given. So much could have been solved easily and early on if he'd just open his mouth. Then we get to said progeny and I just wonder how they aren't bored. They're attending a school when their sole purpose is recruitment, yet aren't really in school? Idk, the set up is interesting to say the least. Then we get to Ophelia. She's the typical damsel in distress who is actually powerful. She has no idea what to do with said power and so just gets pushed around the whole time. I also understand bully books..i really do BUT there is a point where it gets excessive. Like the people doing the bullying just make no sense. Maybe i haven't dealt with crowd mentality that much but a bunch of randoms who are pretty much in no way affected by you, bullying you because I've person is upset at you is a little crazy to me. It's giving brainless. Not to mention that they are ok with assisting with murder? I'm sorry friend ain't no way, I'm helping you murder someone cuz they took a part you wanted in a play. Wild behavior.
Like i said earlier, the spice is off the charts. Full on 5 out of 5. They were banging everywhere and anywhere. The tampon thing...omg. I was speechless. I didn't know if I was grossed out or semi intrigued by the idea since they are vampires. Overall, I think this was an ok read. I'm probably going to continue the series. Mainly because I want to see if we get any growth from Ophelia, and more details on Alexandros. If you enjoy super spicy vampire reads than this is definitely going to be up your alley!
