Barbarians Prize - Review

Another book down in my re-read series!!! This book was another step in a positive direction for the humans who are on the Ice Planet! This time we get the story of Tiffany and Salukh! I think they had probably one of the more beautiful stories yet. Salukh wanted to save himself for the woman who he finally resonated with and Tiffany was afraid due to the abuse that she suffered. I think that this story was interesting because it definitely was giving that strong women feel. Tiffany was trying to carry her burdens alone and it wasn't really helping her at all. While I could understand some the things that she had going on and why her reactions were the way they were, it still didn't stop me from being a little frustrated with her. Of course Salukh was there to hold her and help her get through her trauma and I liked that at the end of the book, it showed that he was not the cure all for her nightmares. She still had them but he was there to help her get through them no matter what.

This book was a little more subdued compared to the other books in this series but it's understandable. I liked stepping away from the instant lust for a minute to focus more on the connection between these characters. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has already enjoyed this series and is willing to enjoy the development!
