Quicksilver - Review
Ya'll, I was not ready to leave this world. It was so enthralling! I loved the characters that we had the chance to meet, I loved the fantasical vibe of the creatures and the beings that we had the opportunity to meet. I was almost sad when I got to the end of this book. I did listen to the audible so I HAVE to wax poetic about the narrators. Both of them were amazing. I really liked the female narrator, I feel like I've listened to her before and she does a good job with the characters and bringing their emotions through in her voice. The male narrator --..-- holy $hit balls Batman....panting melting. I mean I LOVE this mans voice. There has probably only been one other male narrator so far, that I've been like YES, that's the character! This guy played the heck out of Kingfisher!! Ok, ok, I'm done drooling, back to the story review. I loved the characters in this book. Ya'll know I'm a sucker for a good side character, and the ones in this book were amazing. I can't believe how much I laughed and grew to care about them as much as I cared about Kingfisher and Saeris. I can't wait to rejoin this group in the next book. Even though 1 part of the big bad is gone, I know that there is going to be more shenanigans to come!
The spice....whew lord the spice. For some reason I was thinking that since we are apparently in the great pushback, that there wasn't going to be that much spice in this book....I was wrong. *Loud incorrect buzzer* This book came with the hits ok. It was ready to take us down and knock it out and I loved it. Saeris and Kingfisher were good together. Solid 4 out of 5 on the spice. Overall, I liked this book more than I anticipated. I seriously didn't want this book to end. I would recommend it for those who enjoy Fae, tall, dark and broody MMCs and plots on top of plots...evil ones that is. I can't wait to start the next book in this series! Although, I will definitely wait for the audiobook to come out because I NEED moreof these narrators in my life!
